What We Do
Across the Value Chain
Development, finance, and management of energy and infrastructure assets — from origination through operations.
Development
Originating and co-developing solar projects from greenfield to financial close — site selection, permitting, grid interconnection, and PPA structuring across utility-scale, commercial, industrial, and off-grid applications.
Finance and Investment
Structuring project finance and placing capital with DFIs, commercial lenders, and strategic equity partners. Over $200 million mobilised to date across debt and equity structures.
Partnerships and Co-Development
Structuring co-development agreements and EPC partnerships with international contractors, OEM suppliers, and strategic co-investors. We originate and manage — our partners build.
Asset Management
Managing operating solar assets across Egypt — performance oversight, O&M coordination, warranty tracking, and yield optimisation to protect long-term investor returns.
Advisory Services
Feasibility studies, system design, technical due diligence, and development advisory for third-party developers, investors, and industrial offtakers entering the Egyptian and regional markets.
Carbon and Environmental Trading
Carbon credit origination and I-REC certification through partnerships with the Egyptian Stock Exchange and national financial institutions. Monetising environmental attributes across operating renewable energy assets.
Track Record
Sample Projects
Selected projects across utility-scale, commercial, industrial, and off-grid applications — from Africa's largest solar park to some of Egypt's most recognised clean energy installations.

Our Story
A Decade at the Centre of Egypt's Energy Transition
We were there when Egypt opened its power sector to private investment — and we have been building ever since.
What Comes Next
The Pipeline
A growing development pipeline anchored by industrial offtakers, regulated frameworks, and expansion into new markets across the Middle East and Africa.
Industrial Power
Developing clean energy solutions for industrial clients across manufacturing, chemicals, agriculture, and real estate — working with creditworthy offtakers who have identifiable, long-term power needs.
Regional Expansion
Extending the platform into East Africa and the Gulf — combining generation, distribution, and storage capabilities with local partnerships and regulatory access.
Technology and Equipment
Representing international OEMs across transformers, inverters, and battery storage — bridging global technology with local project execution and market access.
Green Value Chains
Participating in the emerging green fuels and carbon trading ecosystem — from hydrogen and low-carbon manufacturing to environmental attribute certification and trading.
Leadership
Leadership
Sherif founded Enara in 2014 when Egypt first opened its power sector to private investment. Over the past decade he has built a renewable energy platform spanning development, asset management, and advisory — from co-developing projects at Benban Solar Park with international partners to operating industrial solar assets and expanding into new markets across East Africa.
Before Enara, he worked within one of Egypt's largest industrial groups across fertilisers, chemicals, agriculture, and logistics. As Chairman of the Egyptian Junior Business Association, he led the energy committee that helped shape Egypt's early renewable energy framework and was part of the effort behind the Benban Solar Park — one of the largest concentrations of solar capacity in the world. Named to the Choiseul Africa 100 in 2023 and 2024.
